Orders are processed through WooCommerce and payment providers.

Installation address where the SoftCaring™ system is installed.

Sensor and System Data

The SoftCaring™ system generates operational data, including:

Sensor events
Device status (including battery levels)
System activity timestamps
System diagnostics

Users can view their sensor event history directly in the SoftCaring™ application.

Technical Data

IP address
Device identifiers
Application logs
System configuration data

Mobile Application Permissions

The SoftCaring™ mobile application may request access to certain device functions for operation.

Depending on the features used, the application may access:
 
Internet connectivity
Push notifications
Device identifiers required for secure system communication

Mobile Application Distribution

The SoftCaring™ mobile application may be distributed through third-party application stores, including Apple App Store and Google Play.

The application may use services provided by these platforms to support application delivery, updates, security, notifications, and functionality.

Apple and Google may process certain technical information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms of service.  

Nova Caring ApS does not control the independent processing of data performed by Apple or Google.

Children’s Privacy

The SoftCaring™ service is intended for adult users and is not directed to children under the age of 18.

Nova Caring ApS does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.

If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

Purpose of Processing

Nova Caring ApS processes personal data to:

Provide and operate the SoftCaring™ system
Process customer orders
Maintain system functionality
Provide customer support
Ensure system security
Improve system reliability
Handle alarm events and responses

Automated Processing

The SoftCaring™ system processes sensor events and system data to generate notifications, alarms, and operational insights.

The system does not make fully automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.

Any actions taken in response to alerts or alarms involve human review by the customer, designated contacts, or authorized service providers.

Legal Basis

Contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)):
Processing is necessary to provide the SoftCaring™ system and services.

Legitimate Interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)):
Processing is necessary to maintain system security, operational reliability, and service quality.

Data Storage

All data is stored within the European Union using Microsoft Azure data centers.

Security measures include:

Encrypted communication (HTTPS)
Encrypted data storage
Restricted system access
System monitoring

Nova Caring ApS maintains technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data and system security.

International Data Transfers 

Nova Caring ApS primarily stores and processes personal data within the European Union.

If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Nova Caring ApS will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.

Security Framework

Nova Caring ApS operates according to an information security governance framework aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 principles.

Formal certification may be pursued as the organization grows.

The company applies security-by-design principles including data minimization, restricted access control, encrypted communication, and operational monitoring.

Data Sharing

Data may be shared with trusted providers necessary to operate the SoftCaring™ service.

Payment providers:
Used to process customer payments

Alarm and notification recipients:
Alarm notifications and alerts may be shared with designated recipients selected by the customer, such as family members, caregivers, friends, neighbours, or professional response provider Securitas.

Service Partner:
Securitas
Nova Caring ApS works with Securitas as a service partner for functions that may include installation services, customer support, alarm monitoring, and alarm response services. Relevant information may be shared with Securitas where necessary to provide these services to the customer.

Nova Caring ApS does not sell personal data. Nova Caring ApS only shares personal data with service providers where necessary to deliver, maintain, secure, or support the SoftCaring™ service.

Data Retention

Data retention periods are determined based on legal requirements, operational needs, and security considerations.

Current standard retention periods are:

Customer account data: while the account is active
Order records: up to 7 years (accounting requirements)
Sensor event data: 12 months
System logs: 6 months

Retention periods may be adjusted where required by law or operational necessity.

Your Rights

Under GDPR you may:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Restrict processing
Request a copy of your data

You may also withdraw consent for optional features where consent is the legal basis for processing.

If you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Nova Caring ApS will respond within 30 days.

For users located in Denmark, complaints may be submitted to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or the relevant supervisory authority in the user’s country of residence.

Security

Nova Caring ApS implements technical and organizational safeguards including encryption, access control, system monitoring, and incident response procedures.

Security Incident Reporting

Nova Caring ApS maintains procedures for identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents.

If a security incident affecting personal data occurs, Nova Caring ApS will take appropriate actions in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

TERMS OF SERVICE – SOFTCARING™


Agreement

By purchasing or using SoftCaring™ you agree to these Terms of Service.

Description of Service

SoftCaring™ is a monitoring system that processes sensor data, device events, and system activity generated by connected devices.

The system is designed to support safety monitoring in private homes and may optionally connect to alarm response services.

User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

Provide accurate account information
Keep login credentials secure
Use the system lawfully
Ensure proper installation and maintenance of system components

Alarm Handling

Customers may choose to forward alarm events to a third-party security provider such as Securitas.

In such cases, alarm information necessary to respond to the alarm may be shared with that provider.

Nova Caring ApS does not control the response actions of third-party alarm providers.

System Availability

Nova Caring ApS strives to provide continuous system availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Temporary service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or external factors beyond the company’s control.

Data Ownership

Users retain ownership of their personal data.

Nova Caring ApS processes data only for the purpose of operating the SoftCaring™ system and providing associated services.

Security

Nova Caring ApS implements reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect system data.

Termination

Access to the SoftCaring™ service may be suspended or terminated if these terms are violated.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
